West Wight sports centre has great swimming facilities for all types of abilities. They have a hoist attached to both pools and all of their lifeguards are qualified to assist people with them. Their small pool is a hydrotherapy pool. At the moment access to hydrotherapy sessions with a qualified physiotherapist can only be obtained through a NHS referrel. However the small pool is available for use during most public or adult swimming sessions.

The Independent Living Centre offers a free and impartial service to Island residents to help them to find out about aids for daily living that could enhance their lives and enable them to continue living independently. Assessments are carried out by either an Occupational Therapist or the trained centres coordinator and volunteer workers.
